Mobile Application Development

Electrical Safety
Checklist App

A Flutter mobile app for field technicians to conduct structured ACB & panel safety surveys, auto-generate branded PDF reports, and give management real-time visibility across all client sites.

Prepared for Lauritz Knudsen
One-Time Build ₹3,50,000
Delivery 3 Weeks
Platform Android + iOS (Flutter)
AMC from ₹3,500/month support
The Opportunity

From paper job cards to a pocket-sized command centre

Lauritz Knudsen currently runs ACB servicing surveys on paper checklists. Reports are written up manually after the site visit, creating delays, no audit trail, and zero real-time visibility for management. This app replaces all of that.

3 Weeks to live
2 User roles
Auto PDF reports
Live Survey sync
Audit history
What changes on Day 1 of launch: A field technician opens the app, selects the site and equipment, runs through the digital checklist, and submits. A branded PDF report is generated and shareable in under 30 seconds — no writing, no carry-back, no delay. The admin sees the submission instantly from any browser.
Technology

Built on proven, scalable foundations

📱
Flutter — Android & iOS
One codebase delivers both platforms without duplication. Rich form widgets, excellent PDF generation support, and rapid development make Flutter the right choice for a data-entry field app.
🔥
Firebase Backend
Authentication, real-time database, and cloud storage — managed by Google with 99.95% uptime SLA. No server to maintain. Scales automatically as survey volumes grow.
📄
Instant PDF Reports
Every completed survey auto-generates a branded PDF in the LK job card format — all sections, client details, recommended spares, and technician signature. Ready to share in under 30 seconds.
🔒
Secure & Role-Gated
Technicians see only their assigned sites. Admins see everything. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Full audit trail of every survey submission with timestamp and user ID.
What We're Building

Scope of work — v1.0

Everything below is included in the one-time build fee. Scope is deliberately focused to deliver a field-ready product in 3 weeks without compromise on quality.

Feature What it does Type
Auth & Roles
Secure login with two roles — Admin and Technician. Each role sees only the screens relevant to them. Invite-based technician sign-up.
Core
Admin Onboarding
Admin adds clients (e.g. Apollo Hospitals), creates sites, registers ACB/panel equipment with full product details, and assigns technicians to sites.
Core
Technician App
Technician logs in, sees assigned sites and pending surveys, and completes the full digital checklist on-site from their phone.
Core
Digital Checklist
Full LK-format survey — Field Details, Visual Inspection (13 items), Accessories/Parts Used, Functional Tests (12 items). Each item: OK / Done / NA / custom text. Validated before submission.
Core
Protection Test Table
Structured data-entry table for Overload, Short Circuit, Earth Fault, and Instantaneous — capturing release setting, time delay, current injection, trip time, and test result per row with numeric validation.
Core
Auto PDF Report
Branded PDF generated instantly on submission, matching the LK job card format exactly — all sections, client details, recommended spares, and technician signature. Shareable via WhatsApp or email directly from the app.
Core
Admin Dashboard
All submitted surveys in one view, filterable by client and date. One-tap PDF download per survey. Real-time — new submissions appear the moment a technician submits.
Essential
Cloud Sync
All data saved to Firebase in real time. Accessible from any device, anywhere. Full survey history retained permanently with a searchable audit trail.
Essential
Out of scope — Phase 2
Client-facing portal — Clients receive PDF reports by email or WhatsApp. A dashboard is Phase 2 once there is historical data worth showing.
Offline-first mode — v1 assumes site connectivity. Full offline sync with conflict resolution is Phase 2.
Survey scheduling & push notifications — Phase 2 after field workflows are validated.
Photo evidence per checklist item — Phase 2.
QR/barcode equipment scanning — Phase 2.
ERP or SAP integrations — Out of scope entirely for this engagement.
Delivery Plan

3 weeks, start to production

A structured 3-week build. Each week ends with a working, testable milestone — not just code commits.

W1
Week 1 — Foundation
Setup, Auth, Onboarding & Site Registry
Flutter project scaffolding, Firebase configuration, login/signup screens, Admin and Technician role-based routing, client onboarding flow (add client → site → equipment registration), full equipment registry with product detail fields.
W2
Week 2 — Core Checklist
Full Digital Survey Form & Submission
Complete survey screen — Field Details, all 13 Visual Inspection items, Accessories/Parts Used, Functional Tests (12 items), Protection Release Test table with numeric validation, Remarks field. OK/NA/Done toggles, save-as-draft, and submit flow with Firestore save, timestamp, and technician ID.
W3
Week 3 — Reports, Dashboard & Launch
PDF Generation, Admin Dashboard, UAT & Deployment
Branded PDF auto-generated on submission — all checklist sections, client details, recommended spares, technician signature, shareable via WhatsApp or email. Admin dashboard with survey list filtered by client and date, PDF download per survey. End-to-end device testing, Play Store deployment, admin handover, and documentation.
UAT in Week 3 — your team, your devices: Your team tests the app on actual Android handsets alongside Siyara Tech before the production push. Any issues are resolved before go-live. iOS App Store submission follows within one week of Android launch.
Complete Cost Picture

Everything you'll invest — nothing hidden

We've broken costs into two clear categories: the one-time build investment and the ongoing infrastructure & maintenance costs. You know exactly what you're committing to before signing.

Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC)

Once live, this app needs very little active maintenance — Firebase manages itself, and the codebase is stable. The support plan covers infrastructure, deployments, and critical fixes at a fair flat rate. No inflated retainers for work that won't happen.

What's in the ₹3,500: Actual Firebase hosting costs at this survey volume run ₹0–1,500/month. Domain and email renewal adds ~₹400/month. The remainder covers Siyara managing deployments, monitoring, and responding to any issues — so you never have to log into a backend panel. One invoice, nothing to manage.
